Dental Crowns.

Our Services

Dental crowns, or “dental caps” are indicated when a tooth has large decay, is fractured, after root canal therapy, is cracked or to improve esthetics. You may need a crown to cover a tooth to help restore it to its normal shape and size. A crown can make your tooth stronger and improve its appearance. Crowns are ideal to: anchor bridgework to replace missing teeth and restore smiles; restore support to damaged or worn teeth; correct chewing problems; relieve pain from compromised teeth and return dental function; prevent breakage in teeth that have undergone root canals and to beautify smiles.

A dental crown, or “dental cap” can help strengthen a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth remaining to hold the filling. Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, protect a weak tooth from breaking, or restore one that’s already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It’s also used to cover a dental implant.

If Dr. Noemi Cruz-Orcutt recommends a crown, it is probably to correct one of these conditions. Dr. Cruz-Orcutt’s primary concern, like yours, is helping you keep your teeth healthy and your smile bright. Following a comprehensive examination Dr. Cruz-Orcutt may suggest an all porcelain, Zirconia, or porcelain-fused-to-metal crown to restore your smile, enhance your appearance, and/or correct your bite.
